Description

Where the Adventure Begins
The zip line canopy tour starts at our Menominee River Outpost, tucked into a bend of the river on the Wisconsin–Michigan border. You’re right on-site at Bombers Bar and Golf Course for a pre-trip snack or post-trip celebratory drink! This is the same basecamp where many of our guests begin their multi-activity weekend, with easy access to other Wildman adventures like whitewater rafting, rock climbing, and paintball.

What You’ll Experience
Check in-at the office and meet your professionally-trained and encouraging guides, then gear up with your group. You’ll undergo a thorough safety briefing at “ground school,” where you’ll practice proper zipping and braking form, and even practice a “self-rescue.” Once you’re confident in your new skills, make your way to the top of the course with your guides and climb the stairs to the first platform 50 feet off the ground. From here, you’ll take on a5-line canopy tour that weaves through treetops, over rolling terrain, and even land on a platform built into a huge living white pine tree. You’ll finish with the longest line of the whole trip — nearly 600 feet of thrilling line where you can clock speeds of up to 30 miles an hour… start practicing your battle cry!

Your tour includes

  • Pre-trip safety briefing on a low-to-the-ground practice zipline
  • 5 high-speed zip lines with over 1,900 feet of action
  • A final 600-foot ride that leaves you wanting another round
  • Birds-eye forest and river views you won’t get anywhere else
  • Top of the line safety equipment including a harness, helmet, and gloves
  • Fun, knowledgeable guides who’ll keep you smiling all the way through

FAQs About Your Wisconsin Zipline Experience

Our zipline tour is located at the Menominee River Outpost in Niagara, Wisconsin. We’re tucked into a gorgeous spot in northeastern Wisconsin along the Menominee River, right on the Wisconsin–Upper Peninsula border! This unique location offers scenic views of the river and Northwoods forest. The Menominee River Outpost is easily accessible from  Wisconsin, Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, and northern Illinois. It’s the perfect spot to kick off your exploration of the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin.

Most zipline tours at Wildman last about 1.5 to 2 hours from start to finish. Smaller groups may finish their trips a little faster, while larger groups may take a full 2 hours. The experience includes gearing up, a safety lesson at the practice “ground school,” and all 5 ziplines through the forest canopy.

Our Wisconsin zipline tour features five separate ziplines totaling nearly 1,900 feet, including a longest run of over 580 feet. (This is where you’ll hit your max speed!) Each line offers a slightly different perspective and level of thrill.

There’s inherent risk in any outdoor adventure, but your safety is out top priority! Our zipline tour is designed for first-time zipliners as well as thrill-seekers. You’ll be with two professional guides who are certified by the ACCT and have rigorous safety training on this specific course. Before you start, our trained guides walk you through a full safety briefing and remain with you throughout the course to ensure a fun and comfortable experience. We’ll provide all of your safety gear, including a full body harness, helmet, and gloves.

Closed-toe shoes are required for this zipline tour. We recommend wearing comfortable athletic clothing, and weather-appropriate layers. Many of the platforms are in the sun and can get warm on a sunny day! Long hair should be tied back, and loose accessories should be left behind for safety.

We love that you want to capture some memories from your awesome trip! If you have a go-pro, make sure to bring your sliding attachment! We have several helmets with go-pro mounts for you to attach your personal go-pro. If you choose to bring a phone, remember that you risk losing anything you bring with you. You’ll want to secure it in a zipping pocket and double-check with your guides upon arrival.

We’re more than a one-trick pony! Unlike zipline-only operations, Wildman Adventure Resort offers ziplining as part of a larger destination experience.
